Race description: K38
K38 is the queen race of the event. A mountain marathon that combines narrow and steep paths with wide and smooth ones. A race that contains almost all the elements of a mountain run. K38 is a challenge even for experienced runners. The route leaves the forest to reach the Piatra Mare Peak (1,844 m), then the Piatra Mare Chalet and stretches from the exit of the 7 Stairs Canyon to the Garbova Chalet. K38 is a marathon of stories and stories to tell.

Route description
The running route is composed of 93% mountain paths and 7% paved road:
- start from the base of the Clabucet slope, the parking lot at the chairlift
- the route starts on Polistoaca Street with an asphalt section, through the forest, only good for fluidizing the runners
- enter the tourist trail towards Susai, tourist marking: red lane, for only 200 meters, after which turn left, tourist marking: blue dot
- pass by the tunnel/railway line and cross the forest road, the route continues on the blue dot marking towards the path that leads to Piatra Mare Peak on the left and Poiana Stanei Pietricica on the right.
- the route turns left for the K38 Marathon, but is also marked to the right for the K24 Half Marathon. The return from Cabana Piatra Mare will also be made through this point, continuing on the K24 Half Marathon route to Susai.
- follow the path to Piatra Mare Peak, the initial tourist marking is a red cross/blue triangle that splits after approximately 600 meters. There, turn left on the red cross marking towards Piatra Mare Peak. Then turn left on the path that climbs to the Peak, reach the Peak and turn back on the same path, tourist marking: red stripe, marking that we follow to the left towards Piatra Mare Chalet
- from the Piatra Mare Chalet we descend on the path on the right, tourist marking: red stripe/blue stripe, the path that splits at a certain point. We follow the red stripe marking, on the Familiar Road and descend towards the Seven Stairs Canyon.
- from the Familiar Road we keep left, bypassing the Bears' Gap, tourist marking: blue dot, and continue on the path to the Seven Stairs Waterfalls, tourist marking: blue triangle
- once we reach the Seven Stairs Waterfall, we start climbing along the river to the Piatra Mare Chalet, tourist marking: yellow band
- after Cabana Piatra Mare, turn back on the blue triangle tourist marking to the section shared with the route we went. We continue the return towards Poiana Stanei Pietricica. We leave the blue triangle marked path on the left and continue forward towards Saua Pietricica, tourist marking: red stripe/red cross
- after passing Saua Pietricica, the blue cross marking is added. You reach the intersection with a forest road that must be crossed and continue on the tourist trail towards Susai, tourist marking: red stripe/blue cross
- the path exits behind the Susai chalet, the place where you turn right towards Predeal, tourist marking: blue cross/red stripe and then left on the Susai Edge towards Clabucet Departure, tourist marking: blue cross
- from Clabucet Departure continue towards Garbova and then make a sharp right on the path that descends to Predeal, path parallel to the ski slope, tourist marking: blue triangle
- at a certain point we exit onto the ski slope and continue on the slope to the ski lift where we choose to descend to the right of the ski lift, on the Clabucet slope
- finish at the base of the Clabucet slope, the parking lot at the Telescaun
