PREDEAL MONASTERY
Chronologically, the third monastic settlement in the Bucegi area is the Metocul of Predeal, founded in 1774 by the hieromonk Ioanichie. The hermitage was built at the foot of the Clabucetul Taurului mountain, then the property of Biv-vel logofat Crisoscolescu. In 1788, during the Russian-Turkish war, the hermitage was reduced to ashes, so that then the abbot Ionisie rebuilt both the hermitage and the cells, financially supported by Ioan Buzatu from Baciul-Sacelelor. The construction being made of wood, after only 30 years it was rebuilt in stone, having Ion Manole as its founder in 1819.The construction of the stone church in 1819 was done – as the inscription proves – through the donations of several Christians. It is built in the shape of a cross, made of Caraiman stone, with a length and width of 5.10 m and a single entrance door, on the western side. The entrance to the tent is through an opening without a door, with two openings on either side, whose side walls are semi-cylindrical. Right in front of them, on the wall above, are painted Saints Nicholas, Dimitrie and Gheorghe. The 12 Apostles are also painted in the tent, with the image of our Lord Jesus Christ in the center.

TAMINA WATERFALL
Located in the Piatra Mare Mountains at an altitude of 1,100 m, the Tamina Waterfall is a series of 5 waterfalls, the highest of which is 10 m high. The waterfall was formed by deepening by more than 50 m an old drainage line installed on vertical cracks in the limestone mass. A possible cave collapse is also taken into account in the formation of this waterfall.
Biodiversity is one of the strengths of this waterfall, which is home to numerous species and habitats protected at national and European level. Among the most important habitats here are those of limestone cliffs, gorges, alpine meadows, streams and mountain springs.
SEVEN STAIRS CANYON
The Sapte Scari Canyon attracts thousands of tourists from all over the country, being located at an altitude of 980 meters, on the Sapte Scari stream, a left tributary of the Sipoaie Valley. The length of the waterfall is 160 m, the difference in level is about 58 m. The height of the steps varies between 8 and 35 m.
Deep in Jurassic limestone, the Seven Stairs Gorges show traces of the morphological evolution of the entire Piatra Mare massif.

ICE CAVE - LOWER TIMIS
The ice cave is considered to be the most important cavity in the Piatra Mare Massif, being located in the area of the Chibei Gorge mountain.
Developed on a vertical crack, the cave has an opening of 50 m, oriented to the north. Inside it, the temperature is low throughout the year, sometimes there is snow.
